About the Role

Reporting to: VP of Sales & Marketing.

Position location: Based in our Melbourne head office.

Overview of position: Audio Product Manager
  • Manage sales & marketing activities over the audio brand portfolio and its individual products across markets including Education, CE, Commercial & Pro Audio, Retail (inc CE) and Studio.
  • Manage sales, inventory & purchasing budgets.
  • Maintain excellent supplier relationships.
  • Focus our sales & marketing team to successful deployment of your portfolio of brands and products.
  • Must be prepared to travel interstate and overseas to attend meetings, seminars, conferences as required.

Brand Product Manager:

  • Responsible and accountable for the domestic sales performance of CMI's Audio brands.
  • Schedule monthly order placements and forecast ordering up to 6 months in advance.
  • Quarterly and monthly sales & marketing business plans which utilize CMI marketing strategies, new releases & product launches and co-ordinate product specialist deployment for training and sales focus.
  • Communication with CMI sales, marketing and support team including but not limited to new product data and ETA's on shipments by product and brand.
  • Design sales & marketing programs and promotional activities in conjunction with our Sales & Marketing management structure.
  • Have sound brand and product knowledge in order to resolve or escalate end user queries and/or challenged with equipment operation.
  • Achieve all sales and inventory budgets.
  • Action discontinued and slow selling inventory.
  • Effectively communicate your market position and department health to all stakeholders

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Assist, support and focus company sales force to assist in market penetration across company sales divisions.
  • Represent the company's values and service standards with a view continuous improvement. Ensure supplier relationships and brand are held in the highest regard.
  • Develop marketing strategies for all new products and update and maintain CRM and all reporting structures on all products and brands.
  • Review and develop strategies for sell through of new and existing products.
  • Provide accurate technical knowledge to CMI dealer networks and internal sales staff and resolve end user issues and enquiries wherever appropriate.
  • Assist in maintaining and update CMI website, newsletters, social media pages and other forms of communication relating to specified brands.
  • Visit key dealer network nationally to promote brands, new products and ensure you brands are centre focussed gather market intelligence and develop strong programs for your brands with individual customers and over the dealer network.
  • Participating in tradeshows and sales meetings both national and international.
  • Produce purchase orders for suppliers, regular inventory and sales information and overall health of brand. Identify problem products and negotiate favourable outcomes.
  •   Collate all sales, inventory, purchasing and marketing information and produce a quarterly supplier specific sales & marketing report.
  • Follow the company monthly and quarterly department timeline and ensure all objectives are delivered in a clear and timely fashion and that all approvals are met and agreed upon.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Meeting sales revenue and inventory targets by division, brand and deadline.
  • Maintain a healthy GP % in consultation with management.
  • Manage all communication between suppliers and management ensuring in a timely delivery of all requests from both CMI and the Supplier are delivered.
  • Effective and satisfactory communication to all stakeholders on overall brand health and specific sales and marketing progress.
  • Meet supplier sales and purchasing targets once agreed.

You will be responsible for and reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing who will be working with you on your strategies for achieving all set sales/inventory budgets and marketing objectives for your portfolio of brands.
