About the Role
The Audio Product Specialist is the main support point for CMI's Internal staff, Account Managers, retail network and end users for all audio products. In depth understanding and knowledge of CMI's audio brands and products including JBL, AKG, Soundcraft, DBX, Lexicon and Tascam. Your focus will be on supporting the reseller/retail channel.

This is an exciting, multi-faceted role in which you'll be required to perform numerous tasks utilizing your marketing and sales skills. Prepare and present product demonstrations, presentations and documentation for retail stores, effectively communicating to store staff key product information and knowledge to help effectively sell and support CMI's audio products. Regular phone contact and store visits on a national footprint will help strengthen relationships with key accounts and the wider dealer network.

Through your demonstrated knowledge of CMI audio brands and products you'll be required to provide effective technical support for internal sales support team, account managers, retail staff and end-users, helping troubleshoot and resolve technical queries.

You'll be required to help create effective marketing strategies of CMI audio brands. Creating engaging and informative written and video content to help strengthen brand awareness, product positioning within the market in a creative and insightful presentation.
Your product analysis through effective use and understand of CRM programs, will help highlight key products and identify what strategies need to be implemented to strengthen brands and thus increase their sales.

Your duties will include but are not be limited to

  • Develop a strong knowledge of audio products and be able to demonstrate in store visits and product focus sessions
  • Focus on helping to drive sales and provide solutions for customers
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships throughout retail dealer network
  • Provide technical support for our internal and external staff, as well as retail network and end-users when required

Skills, Attitude and Experience

  • Passion for audio and how it is implemented within the music industry
  • Ability to demonstrate audio concepts to variety of different people
  • Be able to effectively communicate key product features in an engaging manner
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role/or relevant industry experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confidence to drive sales and business in a dynamic market
  • Positive and motivated attitude with strong work ethic
