CMI takes out dB award again
The recent dB Technologies annual distributor meeting saw the presentation of dB’s annual ProSonic Awards and CMI won an award for Outstanding Professional Audio Sales 2011.
Yet again, our thanks go out to our dedicated dB Technologies dealer network, without whom we couldn’t achieve such great results.

DVA T12 Makes its Australian Debut in Paradise
The Whitsunday Reef Festival is a multi-event festival that runs at Airlie Beach, Queensland between 20 and 23 October. Attracting over 10,000 attendees to events in 2010, this year’s event will be an even brighter celebration of the North Queensland lifestyle with over 20 diverse events.
The festival culminates with a live music event called ‘Rockin the Reef’, which is headlined by Joe Camilleri’s Black Sorrows right in the middle of town at the Airlie Beach Lagoon Southern car park on the Saturday night – 22 October.
The system of choice for this event is the all-new DVA T12 line array system. Owners of Airlie Beach Music–and providers the audio production to the event–Steve and Karen McDonald are long-time dB fans, being highly successful owners and users of the DVA-T4 Line Array and when the time came to add a larger line source system to do this event, they contacted CMI who have air-freighted the first all-new DVA T12 system out to Australia specifically for this event.
The DVA T12’s active three-way design makes it just as easy to set up and install as its T4 predecessor. The DVA T12 features state-of-the-art neodymium speakers and high-performance digital amps with total of 1,410W output power. In combination with top-drawer DSP and premium-quality AD-DA transformers, it delivers high-definition sonic images with massive SPL for large sound reinforcement applications. Weighing just 29 kg, this remarkably compact unit belies its unobtrusive look by enabling you to set up very powerful line arrays that deliver extraordinary performance.
