The CMI Education department is responsible for organising Music Technology events for teachers and educators throughout Australia.
Spearheaded by Luke Casey (BA, Grad Dip Tchg) and following pedagogical best practice, CMI delivers high value professional development using Ableton Live as the conduit technology for facilitating highly engaging student and educator outcomes, with the overall goal of creating more musicians from primary schools all the way through to tertiary Institutons.
CMI often take part in festivals, exhibitions and workshops open to the public, such as Melbourne Guitar Show, Synth Fest, BIGSOUND and more. BIGSOUND is Australia's premier music industry conference/festival, aimed at driving development amongst artists, agencies and related professions. In 2017 CMI was invited to be the sole MI partner - running a public workshop that put CMI staff directly in front of end-users of all levels, from beginner to seasoned artists and we returned as a partner again in 2018.
